The aim is to record acute and long-term side effects of treatment, as well as their impact on the daily lives and well-being of patients.<\/p><h2><strong>What is being investigated in the survey?<\/strong><\/h2><p>Endometrial cancer is one of the most common cancers among women in industrialized countries \u2013 ranking fourth after breast, colorectal, and lung cancer. In most cases, the disease is detected early, which increases the chances of recovery. Despite good survival rates, treatment can cause side effects that can impair the quality of life in the long term. These can be physical (e.g., nerve damage such as polyneuropathy or hair loss), psychological, or social. The SARA study aims to better understand how these burdens are experienced and what long-term consequences they have for patients. The survey considers many aspects of life with endometrial cancer: comorbidities, general health status, polypharmacy (taking multiple medications), side effects, psychological well-being, daily life, relationships, employment, and level of information about treatment options.<\/p><h2 class=\"peach\"><strong>What is the aim of the survey?<\/strong><\/h2><p>The main goal of the study is to record the frequency of certain side effects \u2013 particularly nerve damage (polyneuropathy) and hair loss \u2013 and to assess how strongly these affect the quality of life.<br\/>In addition, the following points will also be investigated:<\/p><ul><li>treatment preferences and therapy adherence (whether and how well therapies are followed)<\/li><li>financial and time burdens due to the disease<\/li><li>how well patients feel informed about treatment options and medical guidelines<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>What is the survey process?<\/strong><\/h2><p>A total of approximately 500 patients are to be surveyed for the study, including 100 patients from Germany. Participation in the SARA study is via a questionnaire that affected women can complete \u2013 regardless of the stage of their disease or what treatment they are receiving (or have received). Three groups of patients are compared:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Group A:<\/strong> Women with a first-time diagnosis of endometrial cancer<\/li><li><strong>Group B:<\/strong> Women with a recurrence of the disease<\/li><li><strong>Group C:<\/strong> Women who are in the post-treatment phase<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"peach\"><strong>Are there any risks?<\/strong><\/h2><p>Expression 21 is a survey study and therefore has no participation risks.<\/p><h2><strong>Participation requirements:<\/strong><\/h2><p>The survey is voluntary and is aimed at all women affected by endometrial cancer, regardless of whether the disease has occurred for the first time or has recurred. The minimum age for participation is 18 years.<\/p><h2 class=\"peach\"><strong>Where can I participate in the survey?<\/strong><\/h2><p>Currently, patients can participate in the study through the participating centers.
