The SIENDO study, presented at the ASCO Annual Meeting 2024, investigates the effect of Selinexor as maintenance therapy. <\/p><p><strong>Study Results:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Progression-Free Survival (PFS):<\/strong> Patients who received Selinexor showed a median PFS of 28.4 months compared to 5.2 months in the placebo group.<\/li><li><strong>Specific Subgroups:<\/strong> For TP53 wild-type\/pMMR patients, the median PFS was 39.5 months (Selinexor) vs. 4.9 months (placebo).<\/li><li><strong>Quality of Life:<\/strong> The Q-TWiST analysis showed a significant improvement in quality of life and duration in Selinexor-treated patients.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Safety:<\/strong> No new safety signals were observed. The most common side effects were mild to moderate nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. <\/p><p>Dr. Reshma Rangwala of Karyopharm emphasizes that these results could position Selinexor as a potential new standard maintenance therapy.
