Our partner, the German Ovarian Cancer Foundation, has been committed since its founding in 2010 to intensive, improved awareness-raising and to improving the quality of life of patients with ovarian cancer. Through a wide range of activities and events, patient-relevant topics such as treatment options, follow-up care, or quality of life are brought into focus.

The Foundation also provides education on genetic focal points in ovarian cancer through information tours held throughout Germany, such as the “BRCA Info Tour”, or offers additional options such as art therapies as part of the “Creative Tour”. In addition, the German Ovarian Cancer Foundation supports clinical research, such as the long-term study “Carolin meets Hanna”. In recent years, treatment outcomes for ovarian cancer have been significantly improved on the basis of studies; nevertheless, the long-term outcomes for women with ovarian cancer are still unsatisfactory. The Ovarian Cancer Foundation works to ensure that innovative research projects on tumour biology, diagnostics, therapy and follow-up care are systematically supported.
